Burnout, self-rated general health and life satisfaction among teachers and other academic occupational groups

Introduction Teachers work in a job with specific demands that can strain individual coping capabilities and pose risk for the development of psychological problems. Prior studies showed teachers – comparison other occupational groups had high risks job-related exhaustion. In our study we compared on burnout, general life satisfaction self-rated health. addition, analyzed if sociodemographic factors were relevant predictors these outcomes. Methods We data from total 1,500 subjects arising Gutenberg Health Study. Binary logistic regression models descriptive statistics calculated to determine potential differences between group membership predictive values variables. Results The did not differ significantly terms health life. Logistic which variables associated Female sex, part-time employment as well work-privacy conflicts particular relevance.
